Jackie Standing, Owner & Photographer
Jackie is an accredited member of the Professional Photographers of Canada (PPOC) and has completed her accreditation in 5 different Portrait Categories – Couples Portrait, Children & Newborn Portrait, Environmental Portrait & Studio Portrait. In 2015 she received Alberta’s Best in Class Wedding Portrait and recently had her image submissions score Merit & Excellence at the Canadian National Image Competition.
Upon joining this group of professional artists, you begin your membership as an observer. You receive some benefits by being a part of the association, but the goal is to get accredited in your chosen photographic categories. To earn your accreditation, you must submit a portfolio of images meeting the criteria outlined by the PPOC. Once submitted, it is put before a panel of judges & fellow photographers. They review your image based on impact, creativity, style, composition, presentation, colour balance, centre of interest, lighting, subject matter, quality, technique, and story telling.
A PPOC Accredited Photographer has the proven experience, knowledge, and equipment to provide you with a quality product in their aread of expertise. PPOC’s Accreditation Process recognizes photographers who have reached a nationally accepted standard of proficiency and knowledge in photographic arts.
