This Fall wedding came together beautifully with all the exquisite details in place and couldn’t have worked out more perfectly for Joseph and Jocelyn. What an honour it was to be a part of this momentous occasion along with all of their family and friends; we loved capturing their story as they took this significant next step together.
Rebecca started her day photographing all the guys as they got ready- primped and prepped. And let me tell you, she definitely got some good laughs in as these guys were not short on good humour!
Joseph looked styling in his suit from Moores We all know that Joseph has an amazing smile, but did you know that he could also be serious? Rebecca was able to catch some quiet moments of reflection as Joseph reviewed his speech and prepared for the day ahead.
I started my day out with the Jocelyn and the girls at her parents house. The first thing I was shown when I arrived, was the father of the bride’s shirt. It said “Father of the Bride, Scan for Payment” and has to be to date, one of the best shirts I’ve seen…and I’m sure most dads can relate to this! Thank you for the good laugh Marc!
The morning was full of excitement as everyone got ready to start their day. The rings they had picked out for each other from Michael Hill were stunning and the details Jocelyn put into the day did not go unnoticed. The girls all had matching robes and celebrated with some champagne and then gifts from Jocelyn to all of her bride squad!
Jocelyn’s dad, Marc, was kept out of the “Wedding Dress” Room for months before the wedding. We saw the note on the door and just had to snap this shot, along with the socks he wore. Just a few more details that really added to the charm of the day. Jocelyn was a vision in her dress from The Bridal Centre. When she was dressed, Jocelyn took a moment with her dad before the reveal to her bridesmaids.
The ceremony was held at St. Marthas Catholic Church on the west side of Lethbridge. Joseph had a huge grin as he walked down the aisle with his mom and dad, all three were glowing with joy. And, if it’s possible, that grin just got bigger when Joseph saw his stunning bride.
After the ceremony, the family and bridal party headed across the street to Nicholas Sheran Park for family photos. Then Joseph and Jocelyn headed down to the Helen Schular Nature Centre for pictures with the bridal party. The weather couldn’t have been more perfect if we had ordered it ourselves. The leaves were brilliant and the sun warmed up the day as well as giving us absolutely beautiful light.
Jocelyn was the perfect mix of comfortable and classy in her shoes from Katespade x Keds. They fit her personality and her day exactly.
The reception was held at The Coast hotel and conference centre here in Lethbridge and was decorated beautifully. True to Joseph and Jocelyn nature, the bridal party entered the reception with a bang! The fun music and dancing got everyone out of there seats for cheering, clapping and laughing, setting a fun mood to get the party started for the night.
The flowers for the wedding were supplied and arranged by Marquis Flowers and fit the simple elegance of the day. When we asked Jocelyn about her experience she said “Trish was amazing…awesome service and beautiful flowers!!” Their beautiful cake was made and delivered by a family friend. Speeches at the reception were an excellent balance of humour and sentiment, bringing everyone to tears through one form or another. There was even a letter read from loved ones in the Philippines.
The reception rounded out with touching dances of the Bride, Groom and their parents and ended in the liveliest dancing we can remember in a long time. Almost the entire guest list could be found on the dance floor at any given time. Combined with a photo booth from StandOut Photography, it truly made for a night to remember.
This wedding was truly a memorable event. From the moment we met Joseph and Jocelyn at their engagement session, we fell in love with them and knew they would have a fantastic wedding. This day did not disappoint, from every little detail to the exciting limbo dance off, this day was sublime. We wish you every blessing as you begin this crazy wonderful journey together.
All the Best!
Jackie, Rebecca & Jennifer
